Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 7 am–7 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (404) 476-5540. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is mysagedental.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I really want to give this Sage a better review but I want to caution anyone from experiencing the impressive lack of professionalism from this office. I have had good cleanings here in the past but not in the the last year. Back in the spring I got a call from the front desk the morning of my appointment that the hygienist had called out and I had to rebook. Understandable - things happen. However, the soonest they could rebook me was August, over three months later. I asked if they would call me if any cancellations came up as I didn’t want to go 9 months without a cleaning. That never happened. The morning of the 31st I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment. The office wasn’t open yet which I can also respect since the office opens at 8 but it does make you wonder why they book appointments that start the minute the doors open. By 8:15 I was a bit skeptical about what was happening when the front desk employee let me know that my hygienist had called out again and I would have to come back another day. I booked an appointment for Thursday but just called to cancel it. I was shocked that the person on the phone didn’t ask why I was cancelling or offer to rebook. Just let

STOP! DON'T! DO NOT GO HERE!!! There is High turnover in staff at this location. It requires many, many, many phone calls to get somone on the phone. When they do pick up the phone, they never give or have correct answers or correct information. They say that the right staff member will return your call BUT THEY NEVER DO. I requested a bill for months and didn't get it. They were trying to get the insurance co that I had then, to pay them twice the amount before sending me a bill. When I did receive a bill, it did not reflect the money that I had been paying when I kept trying to get them to send me the bill. Now, they are HOLDING 4 payments that I mailed and have not been applied to my balance. With this kind of inept office, I fear that the dental work that was done will also be subpar as well. I repeat: STOP! DON'T! DO NOT GO HERE!!!

*WARNING – PLEASE READ* before booking with Sage Dental Midtown. I booked a new patient appointment for a routine cleaning, expecting exactly that. Instead, I spent nearly two hours in the office and left without receiving any cleaning at all. The only service completed was a full set of X-rays. My experience started poorly. The dental assistant who brought me back never introduced herself, greeted me, or explained what would be happening during the appointment. It immediately felt impersonal and unprofessional. When the dental assistant eventually did engage in conversation, she brought up politics and shared her personal opinions about Donald Trump. Regardless of anyone’s political beliefs, I don’t believe unsolicited political discussions belong in a healthcare setting. I was there for dental care, not a political conversation, and it made an already uncomfortable appointment even more awkward. After my X-rays, I spent a significant amount of time waiting with little to no communication about what was happening or why there were repeated delays. The appointment felt completely disorganized, and I was left sitting for long stretches wondering if anyone had forgotten about me.

My appointment was at 11:30 AM today. I won't lie I was starting to get upset because I was sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes and no one had called me back yet to check on my teeth or anything and I had a dental emergency going on. I stood up at 12 PM to get ready to ask the staff why I haven't been seen yet when a lady who came out and said she was the hygienist had acknowledged me. She bought me in and asked me what I was there for and informed me that she will tell the doctor ASAP about what I was there for. A couple of minutes later a lady came out and apologized for the wait and took me to the back. Normally that would garner a lot of negative attention and I don't blame you guys but the fact that they were super apologetic made up for them running late. I also really liked the doctor that I saw today. He explained to me the next steps in my care plan and told me exactly what to do to fix my emergency. He prescribed me medications ASAP so I wouldn't feel anymore pain and I honestly love that he took me being in pain so seriously and didn't delay my medication. Overall the attention to detail for what I need is exactly why I have chosen to make them my home dental office. Tha

I visited this dental office for an exam regarding a tooth extraction. During my appointment, the hygienist informed me that the oral surgeon would be available on Wednesday for the procedure and that I would receive a treatment quote via email the same day. After waiting until 4:00 PM without receiving anything, I called the office for an update. The front desk associate assured me the quote would be sent within 15 minutes, yet I still never received it. The following day, I called again to request the quote. I was placed on hold multiple times without resolution or follow-up. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and poor front desk coordination created a frustrating experience and reflected a significant breakdown in the office’s workflow. In any medical or dental practice, the front desk plays a critical role in maintaining organization, communication, scheduling, and overall patient flow. When the front desk fails to operate efficiently, it directly impacts patient confidence, delays care, and interferes with the effectiveness of the entire office. From my experience, the dental team in the back Β appeared knowledgeable and competent, but the recurring issues with the fron
